We are excited about applying to the Google Summer of Code 2007 program because as many of you know we've missed the deadlines in the past, but not this year! We are preparing and have a week to get all our ducks in a row in order to submit our application. We hope you, the community, will get involved and help make this a successful opportunity for PN.

What does participating in the Google Summer of Code 2007 mean to the project? It has many benefits to the project including offering student developers a stipend to write code for our project along with others. Additionally it gives us an opportunity to work with eager students (i.e., community members, entry level programmers) who'd like to contibute their skills on a specific task that needs to be accomplished. So if you're interested in becoming a mentor or a student then please read on and get involved!

The summer of code was started in 2004 and lasts for three months over the summer. In the past has brought together over 1,000 students with over a 100 open source projects.

We're looking for mentors and students to get involved in the project and this document describes the mentor guidelines for the PostNuke Summer Of Code program 2007.
