The PostNuke Development Team has decided to increase the minimum PHP version requirement for PostNuke to 4.3 as of the .8 series of PostNuke. This is seen as the sensible choice for the .8 series as the version increase brings many added benefits. Older PHP versions are missing bugfixes to problems, do not perform as well, are missing important features and are also likely to result in a less secure server environment.

This increase in requirements will only affect the .8 series. The .7x series requirements remain at PHP 4.1 or later. In order to remain compatible with future .8 series releases, we recommend you consider upgrading your server if you are currently running an older PHP version.
